The National Consumer Commission has confirmed that Ford is to recall a number of Ford Kuga models.
This comes after 46 Ford Kuga’s have spontaneously combusted since December 2015 killing one person so far.
Criticism has come from all corners against Ford in their handling of the matter.
A class action lawsuit has been opened against Ford.
The Ford Escape, which is the name given to the Kuga in the US market, had a recall on a similar engine (1.6 turbo) in 2012 citing similar circumstances where cars would unexpectedly catch fire.
