WATCH | Audi S3 Sedan Review

Justin Jacobs gets to grips with the latest Audi S3 sedan, here’s what he had to say and watch the video for the in-depth review.

Under the bonnet is the brands tried and tested 2.0-litre turbocharged motor. It develops 213kW and 400Nm. Surprisingly that’s 15kW less than its predecessor.

The S3 will still reach 100kph from standstill in around 4.9 seconds and the 7-speed S-Tronic gearbox does a fine job of putting that power to good use.

Quattro all-wheel drive provides the grip and the overall package feels great when you demand performance from it.

Find yourself a quiet bit of back country road and you will be in for a good time. The S3 sedan is fast, nimble and makes a great noise. Watch the video above demonstrating this.

It offers all the pops and even more bangs. The suspension, even in Dynamic mode is not that stiff and when you decide to calm it down, Comfort mode calms everything thing down.

You are then left with a great everyday vehicle. One with 425 litres of luggage space (1,464-litres with the rear seats down).

This makes the Audi S3 Sedan a good looking, fun-to-drive, practical and feature packed offering. Could this be the only Audi that you actually need? I kind of think so…

Pricing starts at R810,000.
